1. September :
September marks the beginning of a new academic year, kids get ready for their annual performance which happens in the first week of October. They start their training during the summer holidays and this is when they fine tune the items to be performed with a lot of rehearsals.
It is also the month of examinations. Students of Taraangini, for the past three years have been enrolled with the Raga-Vahini Music Academy who have partnered with renowned Sri Padmavati Mahila Visva Vidyalayam, Tirupati, India to provide learning opportunities in U.S.A to attain Diploma in MUSIC and DANCE.
This course is of the following levels :
- Level 1 – Certification in Dance at introductory Level
- Level 2 – Diploma in Dance
- Level 3 & Level 4 – Advanced Diploma in Dance
SPMVV offers 8 credits per level. At the end of the course, students not only get 32 credits but also get an Advanced Diploma in Dance certification.
2. October :
October is when the annual performance is held during the first week of October. All students are given a chance to perform on the stage according to the level they have learned.
3. November :
November marks the celebration of Diwali, kids usually stage a performance for TEAM (Telugu Association of Minnesota) and it’s tradition to sponsor Saraswati Puja at the Hindu Society of Minnesota where the students again perform for 20-30 minutes.
Winter performances happen in the months of December, January and February.
